Cats Request Keyart
Cat’s Request.- become a feline detective

By our reckoning, there are upwards of 70 different ‘cat’ games available on the Xbox Store, whether that be with a feline protagonist front and centre, or with little kitties hiding away. Today, another gets added to that list – and this one is on the Cat’s Request.

Available from the Sometimes You team is Cat’s Request. It’s present and correct on the Xbox Store as of today, playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. It’s also on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch if you prefer.

Feline Detective?

Priced at ÂŁ8.39, Cat’s Request sees you playing out the life of a feline detective, Ash, as he and his virtual assistant find themselves living in a world governed by AI. It’s this which allows for the most peaceful of existences, until that is a virus hits home. As a detective, it’s up to you to work out what is behind the arrival of this virus. Do so, and you save the world. Or something like that.

Switching between Ash and his assistant will be key to success in Cat’s Request, as you look to tick off tasks, complete missions and suchlike. The key features should help give a little insight into what is on offer – this is definitely a different experience to the likes of Stray or the Hidden Cats games.

Key features

  • Complete tasks and get paid for them
  • Create items in the generator
  • Monitor your mental health
  • Fantastic adventures and an unexplored world await you
  • Work in tandem with your assistant
  • Find out what’s really going on
  • Expose the criminal

Buy now!

You’ll find Cat’s Request on the usual digital stores. For us Xbox players, there are a couple of options, both priced at ÂŁ8.39. Many may wish to consider the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S version, but others – namely those exclusively on Xbox Series X|S – should head to the Xbox Series X|S optimised version.

Of course, you could buy, and play, Cat’s Request twice, gathering up double the Achievements and Gamerscore as you go.

Cat’s Request should also be on the PlayStation and Nintendo Switch stores.

Stay tuned for our full review.

Cat’s Request Description

The fantastic detective story about an extraterrestrial cat named Ash and his virtual assistant, living in a metropolis governed by artificial intelligence. One day, their peaceful existence is disrupted by the sudden appearance of a computer virus that threatens all sentient programs. Ash takes on the role of a detective to unravel the mystery of this virus. You can switch between Ash and his virtual assistant. Only one character can access certain locations.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
