Caveman Trials – the most simple of platformers?

Sometimes all you need is a good platformer, a handful of deadly traps and a reason to keep moving. Caveman Trials strips things back to those basics, delivering a fast-paced prehistoric adventure that is now available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows PC.

Each version is priced at ÂŁ4.19, with Dozy Droid challenging players to prove they’re worthy of joining the tribe by recovering a stash of precious golden eggs from a series of dangerous caves.

A Test Worthy Of The Tribe

In Caveman Trials, you take control of a young caveman sent out on an important mission. To earn your place among the tribe, you’ll need to recover 30 hidden golden eggs scattered throughout hazardous underground caverns.

That task is easier said than done. Every cave is packed with enemies, environmental hazards and tricky jumps that demand quick reactions and careful timing.

The gameplay focuses on precision platforming, combining responsive jumping with a handy dash ability to help you avoid danger and reach hidden areas. Collecting every golden egg won’t simply happen by following the obvious route either, giving completionists another challenge to work towards as they master each stage.

Ready To Go Back To The Stone Age?

Caveman Trials is available now fully optimised on Xbox Series X|S, playable on Xbox One and for Windows PC, with each version priced at ÂŁ4.19.

If you’re in the mood for a no-nonsense platformer where survival depends on timing, precision and a little prehistoric determination, this latest release might be worth digging into.

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
