Celebrating 50 years of rally – WRC 10 hits Xbox, PlayStation and PC

We’ve seen Nacon and KT Racing have some pretty decent success stories with the WRC franchise over the years, with the last couple especially – WRC 8 and WRC 9 – delivering some serious tight rally racing. Now though, as WRC gets set to celebrate 50 years of rallying, WRC 10 rolls up to the starting point with release on Xbox, PlayStation and PC.

Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S (fully optimised), PS4, PS5 and PC, with a Nintendo Switch version arriving a little later down the line, WRC 10 promises to be the greatest of all the WRC rally affairs as Nacon and KT build on the franchise even more than before.

With a street release of September 2nd in place, you can get hands on with WRC 10 ahead of that time by involving yourself in the Deluxe Edition of the game. This brings about everything you’d expect to see in the standard game, but with Colin McRae’s 1997 Subaru Impreza WRC  on hand, along with 48 hours of early access. Yes it costs a little more than normal, but it’s possibly worth it for fans of the sport.

But what do we have with WRC 10? Well, expect a super deep career mode – one that is being spoken of as being the most complete in a racing game – along with a livery editor, uber-realistic physics engine, multiple challenges and more.

In fact, there’s a host of never-before-seen content included this time around too, with 4 new rallies taking us to Estonia, Croatia, Belgium and Spain, 6 historic ones to further fat it out, 120 special stages, and the 52 teams found in the 2021 seasons of WRC, WRC2, WRC3 and Junior WRC. You can then drop in 20 legendary cars for good measure too.

In all, there’s a pretty high chance that WRC 10 is going to be the new benchmark title for the series going forward. After spending a little time with the Nacon and KT Racing teams for a preview piece a few months back, we’re super excited to get fully hands on with this rally racer now that it has hit Xbox, PlayStation and PC.

You’ll find the Standard edition available for £49.99 from the Xbox Store, whilst the Deluxe Edition is now fully playable for £66.99 across both gens.

Stay tuned for our full review very soon.
