Ho Ho & Move Brings Festive Puzzle Charm To Xbox And PC

Ho Ho & Move has arrived on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Play Anywhere, bringing a surprisingly cosy slice of festive puzzling to consoles – even if it’s turning up fashionably late to the Christmas party.

Yes, the mince pies are gone, the tree’s probably (hopefully!) back in the loft, and Mariah Carey has been politely escorted off the playlist (again, hopefully!). But Ho Ho & Move doesn’t seem to mind. Instead, it leans fully into relaxed, brain-teasing charm, offering a low-stress logic puzzle game that feels just as welcome in January as it would have done on Christmas morning.

And at just £2.49, it’s a stocking stuffer that somehow slipped behind the sofa.

A Festive Puzzle Game Without The Rush

At its heart, Ho Ho & Move is all about planning ahead. Each level presents a grid-based puzzle where your job is to map out Santa’s route before he takes a single step. Using a limited set of directional tiles, you’ll decide exactly how Father Christmas moves, making sure he collects every present and delivers them to the right child.

Once your route is locked in, Santa follows it to the letter – for better or worse. If something goes wrong, that’s on you, not the man in red.

There are no timers, no pressure, and no twitchy reflex demands. It’s a thinking game through and through, built around calm problem-solving rather than festive panic.

Forty Levels Of Calm Christmas Logic

The early puzzles gently ease you in, teaching the basics of movement and planning. But before long, Ho Ho & Move starts asking more of you, limiting your available tiles and forcing smarter, more efficient routes.

It’s the kind of puzzle design that encourages experimentation. You’ll often spot the solution moments after watching Santa walk confidently in the completely wrong direction.

Cozy By Design

Everything about Ho Ho & Move feels deliberately relaxed. The presentation is bright and cheerful, the theme is comforting, and the lack of fail states or harsh penalties makes it easy to dip in and out.

It’s very much a “one more level” kind of game – and thanks to Play Anywhere, it’s perfect for handheld PC play, quick Xbox sessions, or winding down after something far louder and more demanding.

Christmas Spirit, Slightly Out Of Season

While Ho Ho & Move might have missed December by a few weeks, its charm doesn’t really rely on a calendar. It’s a gentle logic game first and a Christmas game second, meaning it works just as well as a cozy puzzle fix whenever you feel like slowing things down.

If anything, there’s something quite fitting about helping Santa clean up unfinished business after the big day.

Still Worth Unwrapping?

Ho Ho & Move won’t blow the doors off with complexity, but that’s never the point. It’s a small, charming puzzle game that knows exactly what it wants to be – and delivers it cleanly, calmly, and with a bit of festive cheer still intact.

If you’re after something relaxed, affordable, and quietly satisfying, Santa’s latest detour might be worth following.

Ho Ho & Move is available now from the Xbox Store, playable on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Play Anywhere for ÂŁ2.49.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
