2026's Best Games

Not every game is about destruction, survival or competition. Clean Up Earth takes a very different route, asking a simple question – what if the goal was to fix things instead?

Now available on Xbox Series X|S and PC with Play Anywhere support for ÂŁ24.99, this relaxing co-op experience focuses on restoration, teamwork and visible change, giving players the tools to quite literally rebuild the world around them.

Cleaning That Actually Feels Rewarding

At the heart of Clean Up Earth is a simple but satisfying loop. You arrive in polluted environments, equipped with a modular Terra Cleaner, and get to work.

As you vacuum waste, recycle materials and restore structures, the world responds instantly. Grass grows back, wildlife returns and landscapes slowly come back to life. It’s not just about ticking off objectives – it’s about watching transformation happen in real time.

Think of it like PowerWash Simulator, but different.

You can take things at your own pace in solo mode, invite a handful of friends for a more personal co-op session, or jump into large-scale multiplayer environments with up to 25 players working together. What starts as a small clean-up job can quickly turn into a shared effort. Bigger areas encourage collaboration, with players naturally dividing tasks and working towards a common goal.

More Than Just A Cleanup Job

While the core gameplay is built around restoration, there’s more going on beneath the surface.

As you clear away debris, you’ll uncover hidden structures, artefacts and strange remnants of past civilisations. Locations inspired by places like Area 51 and the Bermuda Triangle add a layer of mystery, turning each map into something worth exploring as well as restoring.

One of the more interesting elements of Clean Up Earth is how it connects gameplay to real-world initiatives.

Players can choose to represent partner organisations, and progress made during larger community sessions can contribute towards micro-donations supporting environmental causes. It’s all handled in the background, with no additional spending required.

A Different Kind Of Multiplayer Experience

Clean Up Earth isn’t trying to be loud or competitive. It’s built around something much quieter – collaboration, improvement and shared goals.

And in a space where many games focus on conflict, that makes it feel like something genuinely different. Make your way to the Xbox Store and download the game right now, playing it on Xbox Series X|S, PC and Play Anywhere.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
