Clock Tower Rewind – now available on PC and console

It’s time for a chilling return to the origins of survival horror with Clock Tower: Rewind.

WayForward, the team behind the Shantae series and River City Girls, has partnered with Limited Run Games to bring Clock Tower: Rewind to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

This remastered and enhanced version of the 1995 classic, previously only available in Japan, is now accessible to a global audience, offering a terrifying experience that will have you checking behind every corner for the dreaded Scissorman.

A Classic Reborn

Clock Tower: Rewind faithfully recreates the chilling atmosphere and suspenseful gameplay of the original game, while adding a host of modern enhancements and quality-of-life improvements.

As teenage orphan Jennifer Simpson, you must explore the haunting confines of the Barrows family manor, solve puzzles, and evade the relentless pursuit of the Scissorman, a murderous psychopath armed with a deadly pair of shears.

Choose Your Experience

Clock Tower: Rewind offers two distinct modes to cater to different preferences:

  • Original Mode: Experience the game as it was originally released in 1995, with its classic visuals and challenging gameplay.
  • Rewind Mode: Enjoy an enhanced experience with updated visuals, quality-of-life improvements, and additional content.

Features That Will Make You Scream (and Maybe Rewind)

  • Survival Horror Gameplay: Run, hide, and utilize your wits to survive the Scissorman’s relentless pursuit.
  • Atmospheric 2D Art: Immerse yourself in the eerie atmosphere of the Barrows family manor with detailed pixel art and haunting sound effects.
  • Multiple Endings: Discover different outcomes based on your choices and actions, adding to the game’s replayability.
  • Randomised Elements: Experience a unique playthrough each time with randomized events and enemy encounters.
  • New Features: Enjoy a new animated opening, motion comics with voice acting, and vocal theme songs performed by Mary Elizabeth McGlynn and Emi Evans.
  • Modern Inclusions: Utilise save states, a rewind function, and explore an art gallery, music player, and behind-the-scenes creator interview.

A Haunting Return to the Past

Clock Tower: Rewind will no doubt be seen as one of appeal for fans of classic survival horror and those who appreciate a good scare. A chilling atmosphere, challenging gameplay, and modern enhancements, mean this remastered edition is the perfect way to experience a landmark title in the horror genre.

Clock Tower: Rewind is available now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S through the Xbox Store. You’ll also find it on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC for ÂŁ16.74.

Can you survive the horrors of the Barrows family manor and escape the clutches of the Scissorman?

Clock Tower: Rewind Description

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
