Cloudy Day – learning to fly on Xbox

You don’t always need an enormous adventure, a sprawling open world or a hundred-hour campaign. Cloudy Day is here to prove that a simple, small 2D platforming adventure in which you’ll help a lonely cloud learn how to fly can tick plenty of boxes.

Now available on Xbox Series X|S for ÂŁ3.79, it’s a gentle-looking platformer with a rather wholesome goal.

Help A Little Cloud Find Its Wings

Forget what you experienced when taking charge of Cloudy Cloud in Rain On Your Parade previously, for Cloudy Day puts you in control of a tiny cloud that wants nothing more than to keep up with its fellow clouds and eventually learn how to fly.

Across 40 levels, you’ll need to move, jump and glide your way through a series of hand-drawn environments while dealing with six different types of obstacles. Each level also contains a star to collect, giving completionists something extra to keep an eye out for as they make their way through the game.

From Steam To Xbox Series X|S

Cloudy Day isn’t completely new, having previously arrived on PC via Steam in 2025. The game has only picked up a small number of reviews there so far, although its overall rating is currently Positive.

Its arrival on Xbox Series X|S now gives the little cloud another platform on which to spread its wings. With 40 levels to work through and stars to collect along the way, there’s enough here for a short platforming outing without demanding a huge investment of time.

A Small, Cheerful Platforming Adventure

For ÂŁ3.79, Cloudy Day is clearly pitching itself as a budget-friendly option for players after something uncomplicated. There’s no elaborate premise to get lost in – just a cloud, some obstacles and the rather admirable ambition of learning to fly.

If that sounds like your sort of low-key platforming break, Cloudy Day is now available on Xbox Series X|S. Swing on over to the Xbox Store and grab the download you need.

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
