Ready to embrace your destiny with a new cooperative beat ’em up? Up for channelling your inner Cobra Kai? Good because today Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues has been detailed and dated for Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch.

Inspired by Sony’s critically acclaimed series that is due to hit Netflix later this year, Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues will be hitting Xbox One and PS4 come October 27th 2020, with a Nintendo Switch edition arriving a few weeks later on November 24th.

Delivering all action rivalry, Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues will bring gamers an experience that is rich in RPG-like progression, the all-important opportunity to play as your favourite characters from the world of Cobra Kai, and, just for good measure, the addition of two-player couch co-op.

Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues will work with an original two-fold story that covers duelling perspectives. Made in collaboration with the series showrunners, and complete with character-driven cutscenes and dialogue featuring the voices of Ralph Macchio, William Zabka and more, you’ll be given the chance to play as Daniel LaRusso and his students at Miyagi-Do Karate, or their Cobra Kai rivals, led by Daniel’s old rival, Johnny Lawrence.

The choice in Cobra Kai is yours, but only by completing both sides of the campaign will you ever be able to unlock the ultimate ending. To do so, expect to be found swapping between eight playable characters seamlessly in battle, each with their own unique upgradeable attacks, combos and skill trees. From there, you’ll get the chance to face down fierce enemies and bosses in hard-hitting brawls and explore the Los Angeles of the Cobra Kai universe across 28 story missions. All seems a bit ‘Streets of Rage 4‘, eh!

It could be said that in Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues, the fight is in your hands.

We’ll be sure to bring you more as and when we can, but set those diaries for October and November and prepare yourself for the action of Cobra Kai on Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch. You could always take in the trailer below too.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
