Conan Exiles arrives on Xbox One via Xbox Game Preview

You may know Conan the Barbarian from the film of the same name, released in 1982 and the prior stories it was based on. Now though Conan is coming to Xbox Game Preview with a game set in brutal lands, where you must survive in an open world by any means necessary.

After originally hitting the PC world via Early Access, Conan Exiles has now rocked up on Xbox One – at least in Game Preview form. Available to purchase for £30.79, you’ll find yourself crafting tools, making shelter and creating weapons from harvested resources, as well as mixing up meals and drinks to keep you in top shape.

You see, not only will you have Mother Nature to triumph over, but the harsh lands of Conan will have a whole manner of monsters that are out for your blood. But you won’t be on your own in defeating your enemies, as you can turn NPCs into archers, crafters, entertainers and more, doing so by exposing them to the fun found in the ‘Wheel of Pain’.

If the idea of fighting off terrifying monsters, while also attempting not to freeze or burn to death appeals to you, then you should be paying the huge open world a visit. You will also be able to play Conan Exiles with your mates, inviting your friends to help you traverse the diverse world you find yourself in.

Conan Exiles will throw you in at the deep end with nothing but your bare hands to start with, but stick at it, exploring forests, deserts, dungeons, mountains and more environments, summoning giant, godly avatars and scavenging for resources to create weapons and structures, and you may just see your very own army begin to form – an army that is able to wage war against the brutal foes that litter the world!

With Conan Exiles currently available as an Xbox Game Preview title for £30.79, you could do worse than visit the Xbox Games Store, get a download in and pay the wonderful world a visit, even if you just give the free trial a go. Just remember, in Game Preview form the game is still seen as a work in progress. You may see issues, you may find bugs, but at least you’ll be safe in the knowledge that every problem you find can be picked up and eradicated by the development team.
