It’s been available for a good few months on PC Early Access but now, finally, Conan Exiles has gone and got itself an Xbox One release date!
Due for arrival on August 16th 2017, Conan Exiles will hit Xbox One as a Game Preview title, the same day as a free expansion hits the PC version to bring the two editions in line with each other. After that a 4K update has been promised for Xbox One X.
The arrival on Xbox One will allow a different breed of gamer the chance to experience how it feels being thrown into a naked land and be forced to survive under the open sky.
Funcom have also released the first ever video and images from the expansion update giving players a glimpse at the entirely new region of Conan’s world they will soon get to explore.
“By releasing the free expansion update on PC and Xbox One simultaneously with the Xbox One Game Preview launch, we will provide players on both platforms with a new and fresh experience that expands the world of Conan Exiles by roughly 50% and comes complete with entirely new environments, monsters, buildings, game features, and more,” says Funcom Head of Games Lawrence Poe. “As the game is still in Early Access, everyone who has already bought or decides to buy the game while it’s still in development will get access to this massive update at no extra charge.”
Since launching into PC Early Access on January 31st 2017, Funcom have been working tirelessly to introduce new content, improve mechanics, and eradicate bugs and exploits. The team has added siege weapons, a new dungeon, a dye system, new armor and weapons, new decorations, avatar defenses, new building pieces, and much more.
The game will then leave Early Access and release in full on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 in Q1 2018. If you want an online survival game where players get to build anything from small homes to entire cities, explore a huge open world, team up with other players, or seek to dominate their enemies through brutal player vs. player combat, then Conan Exiles is the one for you.
