Confront the Demon King in The Samurai Collection on Xbox

We’ve had a good few classics come to the modern Xbox consoles thanks to the PIKO and QUByte Studios teams over the last few weeks and months. Today that push continues with the arrival of The Samurai Collection (QUByte Classics) on Xbox.

Available to purchase and download on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S right now, The Samurai Collection (QUByte Classics) is the latest of the old-school games to arrive on Xbox, with this Collection containing two games you may just have played back in the day.

It’s priced at £8.39, which surprisingly is a fairly hefty whack for a QUByte game (they previously behind the likes of The Humans and The Immortal), but you are getting a couple of titles included in the Collection, so things just about even themselves out.

But what are you getting in the The Samurai Collection (QUByte Classics) on Xbox? Well, there are two games in all – First Samurai and Second Samurai. Yep, fancy names weren’t a requirement back in the early days of gaming.

The First Samurai will have you attempt to help the first samurai to defeat the demon king, whilst the sequel, Second Samurai, pretty much copies and pastes the same old tropes.

You can be sure that a ton of puzzle platforming and beat ’em up combat will come to the fore in both games.

If you’re on the hunt for some retro gaming on your Xbox consoles, then there’s a chance that what PIKO and QUByte have put together here will have some appeal. Go and grab The Samurai Collection (QUByte Classics) from the Xbox Store if you fancy it. Let us know in the comments if you decide to pick it up.

Game Description:

Confront the Demon King in an all action adventure combining beat’em up combat with platform puzzling and awesomely evil level bosses.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
