With Huggy Wuggy vanquished at the end of Poppy Playtime: Chapter 1, it felt like the worst was over. How wrong we were, with double the trouble coming for us. After the success of the first chapter on Xbox, both Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2 and Poppy Playtime: Chapter 3 are releasing today on Xbox and PlayStation.
Mommy Long Legs is coming for you
The next main antagonist is Mommy Long Legs. Unlike Huggy Wuggy, she is voiced, and has a nasty tendency of appearing from out of nowhere. Her long appendages allow her to infiltrate the vents and other small spaces, meaning she is never too far away.
Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2 is a longer game than the first one, and expands on the lore significantly. Your player will need to help Poppy escape using the train found within the factory. But in order to do that, you will first need to complete three terrifying puzzles, featuring new and familiar faces.
Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2 also features:
- Team up with Poppy to escape to safety.
- The Game Station is an immense new location to explore.
- Try to keep a low profile. You wouldn’t want Mommy Long Legs to catch you…
- Play new minigames, but beware: Failure could be deadly.
- New toys such as Bunzo Bunny and PJ Pug-a-Pillar can’t wait to meet you!
- The GrabPack gains some new abilities, allowing for new puzzling obstacles
Descend even further down
Manage to escape Chapter 2 and your reward is even more terror in Chapter 3. Explore a brand-new area in the form of the orphanage. Sounds innocent enough but an orphanage in Playtime Co. can only lead to horrific consequences.
Once again, your Grabpack will have new upgrades to allow you to traverse the new environments and further unlock the mysteries within. Survive long enough to get the answers you need, but be warned, the terrors here are unlike anything you have seen before.
Poppy Playtime: Chapter 3 also features:
- New horrors await, and they’re much more than just simple toys.
- Playcare is Playtime’s own massive, fantastical orphanage, and you get to explore it.
- The GrabPack gets an upgrade!
- New hands permit unique and creative ways to explore.
- A gas mask is the only way to safely explore through the red smoke that fills the air.
- Answers will finally be revealed. Lies can only stay buried for so long…
