We’ve all played games where we live out our dreams of building and running our own theme park, but what if you threw prehistoric creatures into the mix? It’s a guaranteed hit, right? Well, the Jurassic World Evolution games give you an opportunity to do just that, and not make a hash of it like in the films.
Talking of films, Jurassic World Dominion has recently hit theatres and to accompany it, brand new DLC has launched for Jurassic World Evolution 2.
That’s right, the gang are back together as legendary characters Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill), Dr. Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) and Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) mark their return.
This marks the biggest update for the game to date, complete with a new campaign, new characters but most importantly even more dinosaurs. The story tasks you with building a new research facility, and allows you to dig deeper than ever before to discover prehistoric species new to the franchise.
Two of these fierce feathered threats are the Therizinosaurus and Pyroraptor, which despite their appearance are quite deadly. Also joining the fray are ancient Dimetrodon and colossal flying Quetzalcoatlus boasting the biggest and most varied roaster of dinosaurs to date. Alongside new creatures, Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Biosyn Expansion also introduces new skins and variants for your favourite beasts, including the mighty T-Rex and the aptly named Giganotosaurus.
Also brand new to this update is the Chaos Theory Mode (sadly not where you get to play as Sam Fisher) that presents several “What If” situations inspired by the film. Set in the diverse Sierra Nevada region, you will need to build a new facility to safely contain many dinosaurs who now freely roam the land.
For those not sure whether to fork out for the Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Biosyn Expansion, a free update will also launch for the base game simultaneously. This will offer a range of new features, such as dinosaur wrangling which will allow players to quickly transport large numbers of the prehistoric animals, the ability to play Chaos Theory maps as Challenge mode levels and more.
The key features include:
- NEW JURASSIC WORLD DOMINION CAMPAIGN – Immerse yourself in a thrilling new campaign expanding on Jurassic World Dominion. Construct the Biosyn Genetics Research Compound using a range of new film-inspired buildings. Send scientist to retrieve amber-encased DNA, synthesise and incubate stunning new species, and observe their diverse behaviours. Team up with iconic characters from across the franchise as the story unfolds.
- NEW JURASSIC WORLD DOMINION CHAOS THEORY – Play through a gripping new ‘what if’ scenario based on the epic events of Jurassic World Dominion and build your very own facility to house dinosaurs in an all-new Sierra Nevada environment featuring majestic pine forests, snowy hills and sweeping plains. Use the new dinosaur-wrangling mechanic to corral herds quickly and ensure their safety with new security measures.
- NEW PREHISTORIC SPECIES + SKINS – Expand your park with four spectacular new prehistoric species. These include long-awaited feathered dinosaurs like the Therizinosaurus, and fierce carnivore the Pyroraptor. Alter existing fan favourites with six stunning new skins and two incredible new variants.
