Cook For Love – now available on Xbox

Not every story needs saving the world. Cook For Love is much more interested in something smaller, warmer and a little more personal – the kind of journey that starts in a busy kitchen and slowly builds into something meaningful over time.

Now available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S for £9.19, this latest release from RedDeer.Games invites players to step into the apron of an aspiring chef and see just how far passion (and a good recipe book) can take you.

This is about as far away from the madness of Overcooked! as you can get.

A First Step Into The Kitchen

Cook For Love follows Clement, a young Frenchman starting out in the world of cooking.

His big break comes in a bustling Parisian restaurant, but instead of a guiding mentor at his side, he’s left with something just as important – a recipe book from legendary chef Jean-Luc Chatillone. With Jean-Luc travelling aboard the Orient Express, it’s up to Clement to learn, experiment and prove himself.

From there you’ll understand that progression in Cook For Love is all about building confidence in the kitchen.

You’ll work through more than 40 recipes, starting simple and gradually taking on more complex dishes as your skills improve. Different kitchen appliances, ingredients and techniques come into play, giving each recipe its own feel.

It’s not just about following instructions either. The more you cook, the more you understand how everything fits together.

Reputation, Rewards And Recognition

As Clement’s abilities grow, so does his reputation.

Successful dishes earn you points, unlocking new recipes and pushing you further along your journey. It’s a steady loop that keeps things moving forward, always giving you something new to aim for. Eventually, everything leads towards a final test. The question is whether your cooking will be good enough to impress the critics and earn the coveted Golden Spoon.

A Relaxed Recipe For Success

Cook For Love doesn’t rush you. It’s a game about taking your time, learning at your own pace and enjoying the process rather than chasing perfection. For players who enjoy cozy experiences and simple progression systems, it offers a comfortable space to unwind.

Sometimes, all you need is a kitchen, a few ingredients, and the patience to get things just right.

And sometimes, all you need to do is head to the Xbox Store and take in a download. You’ll find Cook For Love playable on both Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
