Fans of brain-teasing puzzle games have another challenge to tackle today as Cyber Tank Pink arrives on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows PC.
Priced at just £4.19, this latest release from Xitilon and Rapid Snail builds upon the familiar Sokoban formula, introducing a host of extra mechanics designed to keep even seasoned puzzle fans on their toes.
It’s also the latest entry in a series we’ve visited before, with Cyber Tank Nano leaving us feeling that there was plenty of potential hidden beneath some frustrating design decisions. Could Cyber Tank Pink prove to be a stronger outing?

More Than Just Moving Boxes
At first glance, Cyber Tank Pink may look like a traditional Sokoban-inspired puzzler, but it doesn’t take long before things become considerably more complicated.
Rather than simply pushing blocks into place, players must contend with an ever-growing collection of mechanics that constantly reshape each puzzle. Reflecting shots, navigating crumbling floors, melting ice, riding conveyor belts and making clever use of teleports all become part of the challenge as you work towards the exit.
Even the environment itself can be manipulated, with water crossed by carefully placing blocks to create new routes through each stage.
Every Puzzle Introduces New Ideas
The steadily expanding toolbox of mechanics looks to be the game’s biggest strength.
Enemies can be repositioned to open new opportunities, collectible bonuses offer additional incentives for thorough exploration and each new stage builds on ideas introduced previously, encouraging players to think several moves ahead rather than simply reacting to what’s immediately in front of them.
Another Chance For The Cyber Tank Series
We weren’t entirely convinced by Cyber Tank Nano, awarding it 2/5 in our review and noting that it was “appropriate for those willing to endure a perpetual state of confusion from the rage inducing solutions.” While we also felt there were glimpses of a much better puzzle game underneath, execution ultimately held it back.
Cyber Tank Pink looks to push the formula further with a broader range of mechanics and more environmental interactions. Whether those additions help the series realise more of its potential remains to be seen, but puzzle fans now have another budget-friendly challenge to put to the test.
