CYGNI finally blasts onto Xbox, PlayStation and PC

We’ve been keeping a beady eye on CYGNI: All Guns Blazing ever since it was first confirmed for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC back in August of 2022. But now, some two years on, the vertical-scrolling, twin-stick shooter is here, blasting onto storefronts with aplomb. Expect next-gen visuals, some Hollywood-grade animations and – most importantly – the most intense of action to unfold.

Available today from KeelWorks and Konami is CYGNI: All Guns Blazing. It’s playable on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC as it looks to take the vertical-scrolling shooter to the next level.

We’ve previously been hands-on with CYGNI: All Guns Blazing and came away from our brief time with it mighty impressed. Now, with full game in our hands, it’s a full review that is on the horizon. Stay tuned for it, very soon.

What is CYGNI?

But what is CYGNI: All Guns Blazing? Well, it’s a game that could well be seen as the start of a new-generation for the shoot ’em up scene. Taking charge of a ship, you’ll find yourself not just outgunned, but equally as outmanned, heading skywards as you fight for survival. Nothing new there eh?. That’s standard SHMUP action; stuff we’ve been doing for years.

What is new is how KeelWorks and Konami have gone about putting it together. It looks stunning, for one, but also provides you with the means and tech required to take that starting ship and upgrade it to the nines – new weapons, additional shields, whatever else you can get your hands on.

You’ll need everything you can possibly get too, as in CYGNI: All Guns Blazing a host of evil awaits, mostly from a biomechanical alien race. Basically, you are the last line of defence – the only hope.

Buy now!

You’ll find CYGNI: All Guns Blazing present on the Xbox Store, playable on Xbox Series X|S, fully optimised for £24.99. It’s not on Xbox One though, so bear that in mind before you try and purchase.

Further, those on PS5 or PC can get in on the action too.

Will you be doing so? Surely you can’t miss out on the next generation of shoot ’em up? The comments are below. Get in there after you’ve watched the trio of Making Of videos below.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
