Dark Elven Legacy releases on Xbox

Ready for some pure action platforming of the old-school kind? Dark Elven Legacy releases onto Xbox to provide it.

Available right now from the Xbox Store, via the Old School Vibes team, is Dark Elven Legacy. And believe us, this one is befitting of a development team of such a name.

The Forest Awaits

Priced at £4.19, a cheap and cheerful little retro platformer this should be, as you dive into the realm of the Night Elf Queen, shortly after he magical necklace has been stolen. It’s those pesky Goblins who were behind such a snatch, ordered by the evil Skull King. From there, all manner of fantasy tale continues to play out, as the Queen sacrifices herself, splitting the necklace into pieces.

It’s here where you come in, taking on the role of Elynar; a great archer. Only you can traverse the Great Dark Forest, bring together the necklace, kill the Skull King and save the Queen.

Or at least, it’s something like that which will play out. Just expect traps, power-ups and a whole ton of enemies.

Buy now!

For a low asking price, Dark Elven Legacy seems like it should well be found sitting in ‘take a punt’ territory, especially appealing to those who love a bit of retro platforming. If that’s you, head to the Xbox Store, drop a purchase and get playing on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S. It’s fully optimised for Series consoles.

The comments are below if you would like to tell us about your journey into the Great Dark Forest…

Dark Elven Legacy Description

The magical necklace of the Night Elf Queen was stolen in an ambush carried out by Goblins under the orders of the Skull King. In a moment of desperation, the Queen sacrificed herself by using a special spell, causing the necklace to explode into several pieces, scattering them throughout the Great Dark Forest. And in each piece, fragments of her soul became embedded. Now, she relies on her best archer, Elynar, to recover all the pieces, defeat the Skull King, and bring the Queen back to life by reuniting the pieces of the magical necklace.
