You may well have stumbled upon Darkestville Castle previously, either in console demo form or prior to that in full release on PC or mobile. Now though it’s time to prepare for the full point-and-click console offering as Buka Entertainment and Epic Llama confirm the full launch date.

Already available on PC and mobile, Darkestville Castle will be launching on Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch come August 13th 2020, giving players the opportunity to drop into the pointed shoes of a skeletal demon – Cid.

Complete with a lovely art style, Darkestville Castle promises much as you discover that being evil isn’t always as easy as it may at first seem. Running the point and click route, all that pales into insignificance when you consider that Darkestville Castle is going to appeal massively to fans of those classic adventure titles made famous by Tim Schafer, especially when you discover that so goold old Tim Burton inspired humour is dropped in for good measure. With the opportunity to cover this adventure within seven hours or so, and dozens of cunning puzzles in place to ensure a fun time is had, picking up a copy of Darkestville Castle come August 13th 2020 is one that should be seriously considered.

You’ll be able to pick up Darkestville Castle by visiting your usual digital stores from August 13th. If you’re unsure whether this is going to be one that you will enjoy or not, give that demo a little try. Or just hold out for our full review – it’ll be coming your way around launch.

Game Description:

Dear Potential servant of chaos, Being evil isn’t always easy… But boy is it so much more fun than being a good guy! Having someone witty like you on my team could be useful during these not so dark times. Let me elaborate. Everything in Darkestville was fine and dandy: I was tormenting the town people, the town people were being tormented… It was a fair deal! Who could complain? Not me, that’s for sure! …until that moron, Dan Teapot, hired a group of professional demon hunters to banish me! Can you believe it? I don’t even know why he has a grudge against me. Maybe I burnt his house a couple of times, but I only did it because it was hilarious! Anyway. Help me in this adventure to best my foes and let’s make evil reign Darkestville once more! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Also by purchasing this game you are helping a noble cause, part of the money we receive will be used to enslave mankind… I mean… to clean the seas from pollution, create a sanctuary for the only Endangered Invisible Flamingo on this planet and other kind of noble sounding lies. Sincerely Evil, Cid The Demon of Darkestville.
