As announced yesterday, Dead Island is now free to all Xbox Live members, as long as they have a Gold membership.
As part of the Games With Gold promotional scheme for February, Dead Island has been wiped of its ÂŁ14.99 price tag until the 15th Feb.
A first person zombie slayer, Dead Island was originally released back in 2011 and whilst currently running with a 71% rating on Metacritic, the gaming community was torn over the title. Some say it’s a ‘hell of a ride that stands out from the pack’, whilst others slated it for ‘regular AI freezes and progress-halting bugs’. Whatever it is, it’s now free so it’s got to be worth a go!
Game Description:
A holiday paradise gone mad after a zombie outbreak. The player’s only chance to survive is to escape from the island. Dead Island combines first-person action with a heavy focus on melee combat, character development and customization of a vast array of weapons. All of these features are presented in a dark zombie story with a campaign that can be played with up to 4 players in co-op mode.
You can download Dead Island by searching for it on your Xbox 360 console, or by simply jumping over to the Xbox Games Store.
