Marvel Rivals is kicking off Season 6: Night at the Museum, and it’s shaping up to be one of the game’s most personality-packed updates yet.
Available today on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, the superhero team-based PvP shooter continues to build momentum with the arrival of Deadpool, sweeping progression upgrades, fresh social features, and expanded competitive rewards.
Following on from the likes of Season 4 and Season 5 in more recent times, Season 6 doesn’t just add another hero to the roster – it pushes Marvel Rivals further as a live-service shooter that thrives on style, spectacle, and player expression.
Deadpool Makes His Chaotic Debut
The headline addition for Season 6 is, unsurprisingly, Deadpool. Joining the ever-growing Marvel Rivals lineup today, the Merc with a Mouth arrives as a triple-role hero, capable of flexing between Vanguard, Duelist, and Strategist playstyles thanks to in-game skill upgrades.
To keep matches balanced, Quick and Competitive modes limit each team to a single Deadpool, ensuring his unpredictable toolkit enhances fights without overwhelming them. It’s a fitting approach for a character who thrives on controlled chaos.
A Museum Heist And More Maps On The Way
Season 6 sets its tone with Night at the Museum, but the battlefield itself continues to evolve. While today’s update lays the groundwork, players can look ahead to January 29th, when the new convoy map Museum of Contemplation is added to the rotation.
Times Square also gets a social upgrade later this month with The Clobberin’ Club, a new dueling space where players can challenge others head-to-head. Spend a small amount of Units, and those matches will even be broadcast live on Times Square’s massive screens, adding a competitive edge to showing off.
Progression, Accessories, And Player Expression Get A Boost
Season 6 delivers a substantial upgrade to the Hero Proficiency system, raising progression caps and introducing a wide range of new rewards. These include Units, Unstable Molecules, titles, badges, dynamic avatars, and more, giving dedicated players extra ways to show off mastery with their favourite heroes.
Cosmetic expression also expands with a new wave of adorable hero accessories, launching today for characters like Deadpool, Rogue, Doctor Strange, Iron Man, Captain America, Black Panther, Storm, and others.
On top of that, verified university students gain access to a rotating set of exclusive costumes and MVPs by confirming their education email.
Photo Mode Arrives And Championship Rewards Expand
Season 6 also introduces a long-requested Photo Mode, available in Times Square from today. Players can adjust camera angles, apply filters, and capture cinematic moments straight from the action.
On the competitive front, the Marvel Rivals Championship sees expanded rewards across all faction rankings. While top factions still battle for cash prizes, every competitive tier now earns Units, along with redesigned nameplates, sprays, and permanent emblem unlocks for Open Qualifier participants.

That sense of variety and personality continues to grow with updates like Night at the Museum.
