Big fan of Tales of Vesperia? It’s not just you and after an overwhelming amount of fan demand, we find Bandai Namco bowing to the pressure and confirming the release date of the Definitive Edition of the game.
Coming to Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC, Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition will hit home on January 11th 2019 – bringing with it some fancy new features.
This will include an up-scaled screen resolution, characters, events, and costumes that were never released outside of Japan, as well as introducing two new playable party members – Flynn Scifo, the main character’s best friend and rival, and Patty Fleur, a young pirate searching for her lost memories.
Utilising a specialised iteration of the ‘TALES OF’ series’ Linear Motion Battle System for combat, players partaking in a bit of Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition will find themselves controlling a single party member in real-time combat while other party members are controlled by a customised set of A.I. commands. This will see players able to swap between any of the four characters at any time during battles, allowing them to perform physical attacks, Magic Artes or even powerful Mystic Artes.
We will of course bring you any other news regarding Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition as and when we have it, but you’d do well to stick that January 11th release date in your 2019 diaries right now.
