After being delisted, Constructor re-emerges on Xbox One

Back in May 2017, System 3 Software delivered Constructor to the console masses. It wasn’t a success and was swiftly removed from the marketplace. Don’t worry though, because now it is back!

After being delisted, quite possibly because it wasn’t up to scratch, Constructor is back on Xbox One. Still priced at £31.99, it’ll give you the chance to take on the role of a property tycoon, with the single goal of trying to create a thriving city – any way you can! You’ll find yourself building houses, dealing with tenants, and keeping a whole bunch of undesirable groups under control.

With an online multiplayer that lets you battle up to three of your mates for city building domination, there will never be a dull moment in the world of Constructor.

At least we hope there won’t be, as prior to the game disappearing first time round, our review wasn’t particularly favourable to it. But then, now that it’s back, perhaps the online multiplayer will work, and perhaps the ‘Coming Soon’ banners which were previously in place will now actually have game modes attached. You’ll only find out by hitting the Xbox Games Store and spending the £31.99 required. That is however a lot of money for a game with a bit of a checkered history so before you drop the cash, make sure you pay our review a little visit.

What you do after that is completely up to you!

Game Description:

CRIME IS YOUR GREATEST TOOL. In a town where anything goes, you can’t rise to the top without taking a few others down. From dodgy deals to shifty tricks, do what you gotta do to go from small-time slumlord to filthy rich tycoon. In Constructor, you take on the role of a budding property tycoon who must do battle with your competitors to create a thriving and profitable city…in ANY way you see fit! Design and share city maps with online multiplayer battles against up to 3 of your mates. Build houses and factories, cope with the incessant demands of your tenants as well as keeping a whole bunch of UNDESIRABLE characters under control! This ‘colourful’ group of degenerates can also be used against the competition with humorous and catastrophic effect! If all else fails, call in the Mob…

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
