Delphinium Revealed – A Bittersweet Cozy Farming Story, Coming To Xbox And PC

2026's Best Games

The official Delphinium keyart as the game is announced for Xbox and PC, with Play Anywhere support

Cozy farming sims are hardly rare these days, but Delphinium is aiming to carve out a space of its own by weaving emotional storytelling into every seed planted and every relationship formed.

The new narrative-driven farming adventure from Serenity Forge and Cinnadev has officially been revealed, with a launch planned for Xbox consoles and PC in 2027.

Further, supporting Xbox Play Anywhere, the game will allow players to seamlessly move between Xbox and PC while continuing the same save.

Unveiled during the 2026 GDC event, Delphinium promises a heartfelt experience that blends community rebuilding, personal healing and the everyday rituals of village life.

At A Glance

  • Game: Delphinium
  • Developer: Cinnadev
  • Publisher: Serenity Forge
  • Platforms: Xbox consoles, Play Anywhere and PC
  • Release Window: 2027
  • Genre: Narrative farming simulation

A Story Of Loss, Healing And Community

At the center of Delphinium is Haiyan, a character returning to her childhood village after years away. Once part of a movement to rebuild her war-torn homeland, Haiyan followed her older brother into the cause, only for that journey to end in tragedy with his execution.

Now returning home filled with grief and uncertainty, Haiyan must rediscover purpose in a quiet village populated by fellow outsiders and survivors.

The story unfolds through choices and relationships, with every action potentially steering Haiyan toward different outcomes. Players can decide whether she dedicates herself to rebuilding the community or chooses to pursue a new life beyond it.

Farming, Fishing And Everyday Village Life

While narrative sits at the heart of Delphinium, the familiar comforts of the farming sim genre remain central to the experience.

Players will spend their days tending gardens, catching fish (you know, because you can’t have a game of this type and not have some fishing going on) and preparing meals while completing daily tasks around the village. These everyday activities aren’t just mechanical systems either; they feed directly into the relationships and story progression.

Cooking meals to share with neighbours, helping villagers with their requests or simply chatting with them can unlock new conversations, story events and conflicts that gradually reveal the histories of those living in the settlement.

A Living World With Meaningful Choices

Delphinium places a heavy emphasis on character relationships and narrative consequences.

The game unfolds across a dynamic day and night cycle, with events, quests and character interactions shifting depending on the time of day. Conversations can evolve, tensions can rise and new choices can appear depending on how players engage with the community.

These branching paths ultimately lead to multiple possible endings, giving players the freedom to shape Haiyan’s journey in their own way.

A Cozy Story To Watch For In 2027

Serenity Forge has built a reputation for publishing story-rich titles such as Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! and To the Moon, and Delphinium appears to continue that tradition.

Delphinium may still be some way from release, but its early reveal should raise excitement across the globe. With farming, relationship-building and meaningful choices all intertwined, the game could offer something a little deeper than the typical pastoral sim.

We’ll keep you in the loop, but for now, look forward to 2027 when the game plans to drop on Xbox consoles and PC with Xbox Play Anywhere support.
