The battlefield is ablaze with new content, and the future of Delta Force has never looked more explosive.
Team Jade has today launched the latest season for its free-to-play tactical shooter, Delta Force. The new season, titled War Ablaze, is live right now on Xbox, PlayStation, PC, and mobile, and it brings a mountain of new content, including a new Operator, a new Warfare map, fighter jets, and some major future announcements.
This huge update adds even more depth to the tactical shooter, while a stunning roadmap reveals a new engine, full-scene destruction, and collaborations with the iconic METAL GEAR SOLID and SAW franchises are all on the way.
Refining a Strong Identity
When Delta Force first launched, it immediately impressed us with its potential. In our 4/5 review, we said, “When teams coordinate, objectives shift dynamically, and firefights erupt across carefully tuned arenas, Delta Force feels like something greater than the sum of its influences.” We concluded that “The challenge for the future is to refine this identity, not just echo others.“
The new War Ablaze season, with its wealth of new content and a bold roadmap for the future, feels like a direct and exciting answer to that challenge, a clear sign that Team Jade is committed to carving out its own unique space in the shooter genre.
Welcome to the War Ablaze Season
This new season is packed with new additions for the game’s core multiplayer modes, and that means a brand new Operator, Map, and Modes…
- New Operator – Raptor: A new recon operator specializing in tracking and counter-surveillance. His tactical “Wing Cam” can ping enemy locations and carries an EMP grenade.
- New Warfare Map – Fault: Set in an ancient town, this map’s core feature is a massive canyon, creating unprecedented vertical combat. Dynamic, dense fog will also roll in, significantly altering the pace of battle.
- New Vehicle – Jet: The first true fighter jet has been added to the game. It’s the fastest and highest-flying vehicle yet, equipped with a primary cannon and customizable secondary missile systems.
- New Modes: “Air Superiority” is a new mini-mode focused on airborne vehicle combat, while the classic, fast-paced “Team Deathmatch” has been added based on community feedback.
Victory Unite Update
The large-scale Victory Unite mode has been updated with more strategic depth. Commanders can now build fortifications like Bunkers and Anti-Aircraft Guns, and a new pregame role selection and ranked play have been introduced.
The co-op campaign mode, Operations, has also received some significant new content.
- New Boss & Task: A new Warden, Ghroth, will appear in the “Tide Prison” map, with a brand-new, boss-led clash where you can choose to side with him or Raven.
- Map Update – Layali Grove: A massive forest fire has broken out, with heavy smoke and spreading flames altering paths and sightlines to create a whole new challenge.
- Loot & Economy Optimisation: New Legendary loot has been added, and the 3×3 Safe Box is now unlockable through various paths.
A Glimpse into the Future: A New Engine and Iconic Collaborations
During a livestream, Team Jade also unveiled a stunning roadmap for the future of Delta Force.
In H2 2026, the game will be migrating to Unreal Engine 5, which will allow the team to implement high-precision, full-scene destruction, where every single building can be levelled. Further, the “Space City” map will receive a massive expansion in early 2026, featuring underwater combat. A new system is also planned that will allow players to play as a boss and recruit defeated players to their side.
Most excitedly, two huge new collaborations have been announced. A crossover with the classic horror franchise SAW begins this season with a new Melee Bundle. And in a landmark announcement, a collaboration with Konami’s METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER is also coming, highlighted by a special Nox Appearance inspired by Naked Snake.
The battle is evolving, and the future of tactical warfare has been revealed. With a huge drop of new content available today and a breathtaking roadmap for the future, there has never been a better time to be a Delta Force operator.
