Demonschool launch
Demonschool – finally out on PC and console

The long wait for Faye and her misfit companions to begin their bizarre university life is finally over. Demonschool, the highly anticipated new-style tactics RPG from Necrosoft Games, has launched on consoles and PC. Helped along by Ysbryd Games, it is now available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam).

After a period of anticipation, it’s time to enroll, navigate the mysterious island, and defeat the “big weirdos” that stand between the human and demon worlds.

A Journey We’ve Been Anticipating

The hype for Demonschool has been building for years, ever since its intriguing announcement.

We were there back in 2022 when the game was revealed, noting its bizarre inspirations: This Persona and Italian Horror-Inspired Demonschool is a New Tactics RPG for consoles. Although the original 2023 release window was missed, the final product promises to be worth the extra time in the oven.

Motion Equals Action

Demonschool is not your typical slow-paced, grid-based tactics game. It introduces a revolutionary approach where motion equals action, making the flow of combat fast, fluid, and strategically deep.

You play as Faye, leading a squad of misfits who must defeat monstrous foes that inhabit the boundary between the human and demon worlds. The combat is designed to be streamlined, removing the traditional cruft of the genre to focus purely on strategic movement and explosive execution.

Outside of battle, you’ll be navigating university life on a mysterious island. This blend of mundane daily routine and sudden supernatural threats, reminiscent of the Persona series, gives the game its unique flavour. You’ll manage your relationships, develop your characters, and uncover the island’s many mysteries.

Your Enrollment Kit

Here is a breakdown of what to expect from your time at Demonschool:

  • New-Style Tactics RPG: A fast, streamlined combat system where motion dictates action.
  • Dual Worlds: Navigate daily university life and battle monsters between the human and demon worlds.
  • Misfit Companions: Lead Faye and her crew, developing their skills and abilities.
  • Unique Aesthetic: Inspired by classic Italian horror and the Persona series.

The bell for the first class has rung, and a world of demons and academic pressure is waiting.

If you’re a fan of tactics RPGs and are looking for a unique, highly stylised, and fast-paced adventure, Demonschool is ready for your enrollment on the Xbox Store right now. You’ll find the Standard Edition of Demonschool kicking around for ÂŁ17.99, whilst a Digital Deluxe Edition comes in at ÂŁ24.24 – that includes The Art of Demonschool.
