Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is releasing next month, and today CI Games have shown how much depth there’ll be to the weapon variety, including modifications, in their game.
When players finally get their hands on Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, they’ll be able to choose from dozens of real weapon modifications in order to assemble the ideal arsenal to progress through the game. Customising weapons is crucial in creating your own unique tactical experience when in control of protagonist Jon North, an American sniper behind enemy lines in the eastern European Republic of Georgia.
If you want to role with an assault rifle, it’s down to your own preference as to whether it’s set up to be a silenced medium-range precision rifle or an LMG with an extended burst of fire to pump lead into a whole load of enemies at once. These options should be useful to optimise the large range of weapons to suit your style of play – weapons such as the Origin-12 shotgun by FosTech and the McMillan TAC-338 sniper rifle.
The mod options available can be attached to many different weapon types as outlined below –
OPTICS: Sniper rifle scopes with various degree of zoom, iron sights and collimators for sidearms and assault weapons.
MAGAZINE: Larger magazines hold more bullets giving higher ammo capacity on the mission.
SILENCER: Allows silent shooting. Firing weapons with silencer doesn’t alert enemies. Silencers have limited durability and have to be repaired after extensive use.
BIPOD: Greatly reduces weapon sway, allows the rifle to be supported on the ground, and increases the aiming angles when supported.
CAMO: Selected camos can be swapped between weapons. Players can choose from camos as Africa Tech, Hexagon Ice, Death Pool, Grass Wave, Copperhead Snake and many others (some camos available only as a part of exclusive DLCs)
VISION: Laser aiming modules increase weapon precision while shooting from the hip. Flashlights provide illumination in darkened areas.
Depending on your approach to each mission, different equipment can suit different scenarios to enhance your chance of success. Silencers, motion detectors, long-range weapons and luring bullets would ensure steal sniping is possible, whereas a quiet approach to infiltration mean you’d be well equipped with a bow and a knife to use for melee takedowns. Alternatively, those preferring a gung ho method should grab a few grenades, mines and C4 whilst wearing heavy armour, or get up close and personal in more enclosed environments by using shotguns and night vision goggles. Should vehicles be an issue, anti-vehicle mines and a highly penetrative .50 cal sniper rifle will come in handy.
You’ll have to choose wisely for every situation, considering all aspects of weaponry, making sure you aren’t too weighed down to the point where your stamina suffers or there’s additional sway on the weapon during combat. With plenty of options in regards to weapon types, mods, camo and shooting techniques, come April 25th on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, you’ll be able to play Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 your way!
I LOVE THE BOW xD It’s hard to believe, but it’s really useful . But of course sniping is the best in SGW3 🙂
om yes! bow is sick 🙂 and I agree, it might be useful, this is very silent weapon after all.
The compound bow is officially my favourite weapon! It’s doesn’t make any noise and it even works great indoors. I just love it
So if you like using bow, you should try to play FarCry: Primal 😉 awesome game. But now I’m enjoying SGW3 so much.
ohohoh, hours of playing. I can’t wait to try sniper rifle 🙂 And i like the idea of modification. I hope they’ll give an idea to paint your gun 😀
Have you played the game man? If so how did you like it? I’ve played only a few hours but I had loads of fun 😀
I was playing whoe last night. It’s very hard to get up and go to work instead playing it some more…
