Architect Life – out now on PC and console

Have you ever dreamt of designing and building the perfect house from the ground up?

Today, that dream finally becomes a virtual reality as Architect Life: A House Design Simulator has launched on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and – most importantly – Xbox Series X|S.

From developer Shine Research studio and publisher NACON, this new simulation challenges you to become the best architect you can be.

Your Architectural Firm Awaits

In Architect Life, you’re placed at the head of your very own architectural firm. Using a huge variety of materials, structures, items, and, most importantly, innovative construction tools, you can design and customize buildings with extensive creative freedom. From the shape of each room to detailed roof drawings, your vision is the only limit.

The game boasts a suite of simple, ergonomic tools designed to maximise creative possibilities. You’ll engage in detailed room and roof drawings with precise dimension and angle measurements, create balconies and mezzanines, and plan complex structure extensions with ease.

Equipment, Fittings, and Finishing Touches

Your job doesn’t end with the structure. You’ll also need to manage practicalities like room heating by optimising the placement of heating devices. From there, you can customise the interior of your homes down to the exact colour of the furniture and enhance the outdoor space with lush vegetation and a variety of facilities like swimming pools and playgrounds.

Once construction is complete, you can switch to a first-person mode to take a virtual visit of the homes you’ve built. This allows you to change the position of the sun to test how rooms perform in different lights, or simply to relax and admire your stunning creations within their biome.

Career or Creative Freedom: Your Choice

For those who crave a challenge, Career Mode puts you in the role of project manager. You’ll advance from project to project across 60 varied missions, building houses that meet your demanding clients’ specifications.

You must adapt to their needs, making sure to respect the required budget and delivery date, all while dealing with unexpected events that can disrupt the building process. Satisfied clients allow you to develop your firm and unlock new skills, materials, and techniques (like green energies!) for future projects.

Free Mode: Your Architectural Sandbox

For those who want to turn their moodboards into reality without constraint, Free Mode offers a true platform for expression. You can select one of 60 existing plots and then enjoy complete creative freedom. Break all the rules, build ever more original homes, and work with an unlimited budget!
