The clue is in the title, but make no mistake about it, Blood Waves is bloody. Hardcore and bloody.
A new shooter in which you are tasked with taking down zombies (yeah, we know, zombies!), Blood Waves sees you attempting to push back the invading undead, by any means possible. Utilising traps, creating barricades and relying on both close and long range combat weapons is all par for the course in Blood Waves, but only by choosing the optimal survival strategy will you see success come about.
Priced up at £8.39 and available right now from the Xbox Store – with Nintendo Switch and PS4 releases hitting home too – if you’re up for a bit more zombie bashing, and can pull yourself away from the new favourite Battle Royale trend – in which case you’ll want these KontrolFreek Battle Royal Nightfall thumsticks for Xbox One – then Blood Waves may be worth checking out.
Our full review is well worth taking in first though, as that should be able to give more of an insight into the inner workings of Blood Waves on Xbox One. Basically put if you want to put up a fight against waves of the undead, and wish to mess around with a variety of tactics, then Blood Waves is for you. Just be aware that there will be plenty of blood spilt in this hardcore wave shooter.

And of course, don’t forget to check the stock of bullets and restore your health. Different types of zombie possess the distinctive features. There are enemies with long-distance attack as well as cleverer zombies avoiding certain traps. Choose the optimal survival strategy. For the most successful game you will need to control expenditure of the earned resources. The time of your survival depends on it.
