Detonate your way through Explosive Candy World on Xbox, PlayStation and Switch

We’ve been brought up as gamers to understand the need to run and jump, with the vast majority of platforming needs having tasked us with doing so for decades on end. But Explosive Candy World is different – for to find success here we’ll need to blow ourselves up. 

Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S (yep, next-gen optimised too), PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch, Explosive Candy World from Eastasiasoft is the latest precision platformer to hit the market. But this one is different to the norm. 

You see, running and jumping are out of the equation here, leaving us to detonate ourselves instead, blowing up in order to navigate obstacles and pitfalls. It’s the physics-based elements which therefore come to the fore with this one, with the requirements to work out the strength and direction of your detonations the ultimate key. 

It’s priced at £4.19 from the Xbox Store (and you should expect a similar price on PlayStation and Switch), as Eastasiasoft give you all the tools you need to go and find that explosive success. With switches to hit, barriers to smash, buttons to press and more, the short but sweet levels on offer in Explosive Candy World should ensure that this is a quick hit of explosive goodness. 

Throw in an artstyle that may just be your bag, and should you be in the market for a new physics based puzzling platformer, it’s likely you’ll find what you need in Explosive Candy World.
