The story kicking around behind Sherlock Holmes Chapter One is an intriguing, highly interesting one, focusing on how the world’s greatest detective got a bit of a leg up in life. But that base story has been well complemented by a whole host of expansions since launch, with the latest requesting you dial M for Mystery.
M for Mystery is the latest DLC addition to Sherlock Holmes Chapter One. No matter whether you’re playing on Xbox Series X|S, PS5 or PC, Sherlock’s origin chapter continues to build out, this time with centralisation on a set of documents which have been stolen. It’s up to you to hunt these down, attempting to locate ‘M’ in the process.
M for Mystery kicks in directly after the first main case of Sherlock Holmes Chapter One – that being the Ghosts of the Past) and you’ll need to ensure that you’ve completed the combat tutorial too.
Should you be able to tick those boxes, you’ll discover that M for Mystery adds in the titular quest line, The Clockwork Extortion, The Bridge Agent, Child of Cordona, Mysterious Detective Outfit, Plague Doctor Jon and Ice Cream Jon – you’ll understand what all those mean should you have a copy of Sherlock Holmes Chapter One to hand.
You’ll need that copy of the base game too, before you can purchase and play M for Mystery. Should you wish to add it in to your game though, £8.99 will need to be spent, with the DLC itself available from the usual digital stores – the Xbox Store being our favourite.
Let us know if you decide to add M for Mystery into Sherlock Holmes Chapter One.
