You had me at “giant walking dice”. That’s right, Dicey Dungeons is back with a brand new update, out today, which once again welcomes back the six sided spotted gambling cubes to another action packed game show. The original game, along with the free update, has also been released for mobile today.

The original fast-paced deckbuilding roguelike tasked you with battling monsters, grabbing loot and taking down Lady Luck herself. For reasons unknown the gang are back for this Reunion special, but just how were they talked into returning?

The Reunion DLC features four to five hours of brand new content which is split down into six different episodes, one for each contestant. All have varying styles and feature their own set of rules.

The Thief episode, for example, is all about pinching enemy equipment and making it your own. However, brand new items mean it won’t be so easy. While the Robot episode swaps out dice for coins, but allows your character to push their luck as usual.

The Warrior episode takes things back to traditional dice-game roots with a new system, where balancing collecting sets of dice to level up your character and keeping enough free to defeat enemies is key.

An upbeat soundtrack, cheery artwork, new cutscenes and writing tie everything together in Dicey Dungeons Reunion, inviting you in for one last roll! The original Dicey Dungeons picked up the Grand Jury Award at Indiecade in 2019.

Take a closer look at the new DLC in this trailer:

The Dicey Dungeons Reunion DLC is a free update that arrives today, but requires the base game to play, and is available at the Xbox Store for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, or Nintendo Switch, PC and Mobile priced at around £11.24. Alternatively, Dicey Dungeons is available via Xbox Game Pass.

Don’t push your luck and hangfire for our full review of the new DLC soon.

I have been playing games since a very early age, thanks to my Dad's encouragement. I've been an Xbox gamer since the very beginning, the Master Chief is to thank for that. I'm also a big Nintendo geek, and my other half is a PlayStation nut. I'll play pretty much anything in any genre (although FIFA and COD maybe pushing it).
