Digimon Survive announced for Xbox One, Switch, PS4 and PC Western release!

-

To coincide with the 20th anniversary of the original TV show, Bandai Namco have announced details of a Western release for Digimon Survive.

Releasing in 2019 on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC, Digimon Survive has been announced by Bandai Namco and WITCHCRAFT, as they team up to deliver a brand new adventure/tactical RPG.

Digimon Survive has been created to celebrate 20 years of the Digimon Anime, delivering us a whole new adventure set in an ultra mysterious world, all with characters designed by Uichi Ukumo, and music by the much-acclaimed Tomoki Miyoshi.

Digimon Survive will see us enjoying the antics of a new group of teenagers, led by Takuma Momozuka, as they get lost on a school camping trip, before fiding them transported to a strange new world of monsters and danger. It is here where you come in and as they fight their way back home, your choices will see an impact on how the game evolves, as the world full of deadly battles and difficult decisions comes to live.

With battles being fought in 2D to ensure that Digimon Survive comes across with a classic SRPG style, it is sure to be one that fans of Digimon will be hugely anticipating.

Further details have been promised in the weeks and months ahead. We’ll be sure to bring you them as and when they drop. For now though, the trailer below should sort out any initial questions…

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
