Disaster Band – now on console

Think of yourself as some kind of musical maestro? You’ll get to prove it in Disaster Band with launch on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. Kinda.

Available right now via the Produktivkeller Studios and SunDust teams is Disaster Band. This is a quirky little rhythm action affair in which you’ll get to create the music of your dreams. At least, that’s the plan, as it releases onto Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. It’s on PC too.

A disaster of a band?

In Disaster Band, 20 tracks and 15 instruments will be your play thing, as you set to climb leaderboards creating the finest music you have ever seen – or heard, for that matter. It’ll have you playing the violin, working the kazoo and even meowing like a little cat – probably one of those found in Hidden Cats in Paris or the like. Whatever, you can be sure it’s no Rock Band

From there, via the power of mod.io support, you’ll also get to add new content for free, or will even be able to upload your own music to the Disaster Band setlists (not available on Switch). And you won’t have to get on with this by yourself either – Disaster Band allows you to connect with friends, making musical melodies together as one. Better yet, there’s full cross-platform support in house.

Key features

  • Online-Multiplayer for up to 4 players – If you are host or joining the party, if you play with friends or strangers: the low latency connection makes sure that more players mean more fun
  • Intuitive controls – Precise, direct and effortless: Disaster Band makes sure, that absolutely everybody can enjoy their way to musical success, on supported systems even with gyro-controls
  • 20 tracks out of the box – Get your friends and prove with these timeless classics that you have what it takes to be a master musician
  • Mod.io integration – Create your own tracks (via MIDI) and share them with the Disaster Band community.
  • 15 instruments to choose from- Experience the songs like never before: From classical greats like violin or trombone to exotic instruments and even cats meowing and choir there are countless combinations possible.

Buy now!

You can grab Disaster Band on Xbox Series X|S, fully optimised, for £8.39 from the Xbox Store. It’s also on PlayStation and PC (Steam) if you so prefer. And remember, this one is also on Nintendo Switch.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
