Disciples Domination – coming in 2026

The throne of Nevendaar awaits its ruler once more, but the path to domination is fraught with new perils.

Kalypso Media and developer Artefacts Studio have proudly announced Disciples: Domination, the next instalment in the dark fantasy strategy RPG series.

This direct follow-up to Disciples: Liberation is set to launch in 2026 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, PlayStation 5, and PC.

A Crown Heavy with Expectation

This new chapter returns players to the fractured realm of Nevendaar, promising a grim tale of power and sacrifice, with refined turn-based combat and deeper strategic options.

The previous entry in the series, Disciples: Liberation, was an ambitious title that we found intriguing. In our 3.5/5 review, we said it was a game that would “certainly split opinion,” but that we “really enjoyed it, despite the gameplay being simple enough to feel repetitive.” We praised its “lush visuals” and an “attractive, if limited, world which is exciting to explore.

Disciples: Domination looks to build on that exciting world while directly addressing the desire for deeper gameplay. With promises of “refined turn-based combat” with “faster pacing” and “richer interaction,” this sequel is poised to deliver the complex, strategic experience that fans have been craving.

Return to a Fractured Nevendaar

The story picks up fifteen years after the events of Disciples: Liberation. Players will once again step into the boots of Avyanna, but her once-stable rule has begun to shatter.

The realm of Nevendaar has only grown more volatile, and as loyal factions falter and tensions rise, she must navigate its dangerous regions while the weight of the crown grows heavier by the day.

Your mission is to hold your crumbling kingdom together, or watch it descend into total chaos. A key part of this new conflict is the return of the Dwarves from the Mountain Clans, whose allegiance – or opposition – will be shaped by your decisions.

Rule Supreme, Fight Smarter

Disciples: Domination is a game of two halves: grand strategy from the throne and tactical battles on the grid.

From your capital city of Yllian, you will manage the demands of war and rule. You’ll make key decisions that affect your reputation with the five distinct factions, recruit trusted companions, and build powerful squads to send into battle.

But then the series’ signature tactical, grid-based combat has been refined with faster pacing, dynamic events, and richer interactions. New faction-specific abilities and dangerous unit synergies will deepen your strategic options, forcing you to master a unique system of strengths and weaknesses to achieve victory.

Real-Time World Exploration

Between battles, you will travel the dark and living world of Nevendaar in real-time. You’ll uncover new regions, meet compelling characters, face terrifying foes, and dive into rewarding new quests as the grim and mature story unfolds.

The realm is on a knife’s edge, and every decision you make will carve your path and shape the future of Nevendaar. With a deeper, more refined combat system and a compelling new chapter in Avyanna’s story, Disciples: Domination is set to be a must-play for strategy RPG fans when it arrives on Xbox, PlayStation and PC in 2026.

There’s a Steam page up if you fancy getting involved with some wishlisting.
