When Disco Elysium – The Final Cut was first announced for release on all platforms way back in December of 2020, it signalled the beginning of the end of the critically acclaimed adventure. It was nearly a year later when that Final Cut promise hit home, launching on Xbox and Switch, with a free update elsewhere too. We thought that would be the end of it, but we were wrong and today the team at ZA/UM have dropped yet another update. A free one at that.

Taking place right about now and slowly rolling to a system near you (as long as that system is an Xbox, PlayStation or Nintendo Switch one), is the Jamais Vu Update for Disco Elysium – The Final Cut.

With the ZA/UM team renowned for creating a ton of mystery, the new update builds on that vibe to deliver a host of fixes, optimisations and secrets for Disco Elysium players to uncover.

With it rolling out across various regions right now (and if it’s not yet with you, hold tight because it won’t be too much longer), the Disco Elysium – The Final Cut Jamais Vu Update for Xbox, PlayStation and Switch includes all of the following…

  • New secret achievements – time to hunt!
  • Multiple fixes for crashes
  • Gigantic load time optimisations when switching scenes
  • Tons of minor bug fixes all across the game
  • Has Kim always been this hot?

If you have the base game of Disco Elysium – The Final Cut to hand, then fire it up and await that free update to hit home.

If you don’t yet have a copy of one of the finest games of recent years, why not? Get that fixed by heading to the digital store of your choosing, with our favourite being that of the Xbox Store. It’s there where you’ll find a copy of Disco Elysium – The Final Cut on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S costing £33.49.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
