Discover the story of the Tacoma space-station with Tacoma on Xbox One

-

While some people prefer the action-heavy, guns blazing explosion fest that the Xbox marketplace delivers in spades – sometimes you just want to sit back and enjoy a story that can be discovered at your own pace, free of exhilarating combat or frustrating puzzles.

And this is what you will be getting with Tacoma.

In 2088, when the six crew members of the space station Tacoma have died, it is up to you to piece together their story, how they interacted with one another and discover their unique personality through 3D animated AR scenes, which show pivotal moments in the members’ lives leading up to the disaster. With these scenes being represented in 3D with full voice recording, to get the most out of them you will need to rewind and fast-forward these scenes, as well as walk around the physical space they are played out in. Eventually, as everyone’s storylines converge and split off again, you may just find the resolution to the tragedy that occurred on Tacoma.

Not only will you be able to uncover clues by recorded scenes, but unlocking drawers, finding objects and artifacts and reading notes will also provide you with information. Clues are everywhere on Tacoma, it is just a case of seeking them out.

With Tacoma having been created by the devs behind the likes of Gone Home (another narrative experience) and Bioshock 2: Minerva’s Den, Fullbright have a proven track record with creating great stories on Xbox One – and Tacoma may be another to hook you with its complex story.

If you have interest, then the Xbox Games Store will let you in on a download. Just head on over and spend the £14.99 required.
