Those familiar with Disney Infinity must be excited at the prospect of Earth’s mightiest heroes from the Marvel universe being the focus in “Disney Infinity 2.0” and we believe it’ll be coming to both Xbox platforms.
This isn’t just changing from the Disney characters we know to Marvel heroes, there’s also an improvement on the game as a whole. Having an initial six Marvel characters, the plan is to add more scope than ever before, hence in the future they will be joined by more than twelve others with new Disney characters added too. At a recent Hollywood event, Disney Interactive showed off a level (Marvel Manhattan) from the game which was apparently four times larger than any in the 1.0 version.
Some of the other changes will see them prioritise the character’s combat styles, for example Hawkeye would be a long-range support character compared to Captain America and his brawler style. Each of the characters are set to be able to move in ways that are suited to them; the Hulk will be a wall crawler.
Disney may have just opened themselves up to a rather big money maker by combining two things that youngsters (and older comic book enthusiasts) are interested in; Marvel and gaming. They have already announced that the starter figures will be the entire cast of the Avengers which we’ve seen in the films – Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and the Hulk.
We certainly can’t wait to see who else join this already awesome cast.
