It was only a month ago that we heard news that Bumble3ee Interactive and NeoBird were bringing their dimension dividing World Splitter to console and PC in the spring. Well, it didn’t take them too long to settle on a release date either – and it is that which is now known.

After picking up the Best Console Game and Grand Award prizes at Game Connection Europe 2020 Indie Development arm, World Splitter promises much when it releases onto Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Nintendo Switch and Steam.

It gets ever more exciting when you consider that this twin-stick platformer will give players the chance to work through nearly a dozen local two-player cooperative missions, as pairs of players look to take their puzzling antics to the next dimension.

It will be April 21st 2021 when all this comes about, and we find World-Splitter’s twin-stick control scheme drop onto Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Switch and PC. From there players will be able to manipulate two parallel rifts as they simultaneously traverse visible parts of each wonderfully animated stage. They’ll also be able to save critters across 60 different levels and reach exits while avoiding enemies and taking advantage of interactive objects like levers, mechanical platforms, portals, and gravity fields.

No matter whether you’re a hardcore puzzle enthusiast, or a casual player who has been able to drag a friend in, World Splitter is certainly one to keep an eye on, even more so as the inclusion of time-based challenges will keep speedrunners busy too.

Hold tight for that April 21st release date. We’ll of course let you know when you can purchase and play the game. For now, take in the latest trailer and then let us know your thoughts on how this dimension divider will find a way into your life.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
