Dollmare
Dollmare – out now on Xbox

Welcome to your new shift at the factory. Your job is simple: inspect the dolls for… irregularities.

Dollmare, a new psychological horror game that tasks you with spotting anomalies, has launched. This unsettling new title from Almost Done Games and the horror-centric Feardemic is now available on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One for the creepily low price of just £4.19.

This isn’t a game of loud noises and cheap scares; it’s a game of quiet, creeping dread, where you’ll constantly sense that something is watching you.

A Horror Game Without the Screams

Are you tired of being chased by monsters? Not in the mood for endless jumpscares and fights for survival? Dollmare is designed just for you.

It is, first and foremost, a pot-the-difference horror game. It’s still a horror game – you’ll get scared and feel uneasy – but it builds its tension through atmosphere, not jump scares. There’s no telling what might happen… but something definitely will.

Your Night Shift at the Factory

Your task as the new Cabin Inspector is to carefully inspect each doll that comes down the line for strange defects or eerie behaviour. You must spot every anomaly, from subtle flaws in the paint to unsettling movements when you’re not looking.

If the doll is safe, you press ‘CLEAR’. But if it’s haunted… you must quickly turn back and press ‘DANGER’.

Unique Playthroughs Every Time

This is where Dollmare gets really interesting. Many of the events in the game are not scripted, meaning that what you encounter is shaped by the moment. No two players will share the exact same experience, making your journey distinctly your own.

You’ll also be tasked with exploring the dark corners of the factory, maintaining the production equipment, and following a set of strange protocols (for your own safety, of course), all while trying to uncover the mystery behind the dolls… and trying not to lose your sanity.

Another Unsettling Case from Feardemic

Publisher Feardemic is carving out a fantastic niche for itself in the world of high-concept, atmospheric horror. Dollmare joins a growing library of unsettling titles that we’ve seen on Xbox, including the acclaimed Lorn’s Lure and the recent The Cabin Factory.

Your Inspector’s Checklist

Here’s what you can expect from your new shift:

  • An atmospheric “spot-the-difference” horror game.
  • Creepy Without the Jumpscares: Builds tension through atmosphere and the sense of being watched.
  • Unique Playthroughs: Non-scripted events mean no two games are the same.
  • Inspect anomalous dolls and decide if they are safe or haunted.
  • Explore the factory and uncover its dark secrets.
  • A perfect, low-price horror game for a dark evening.

The factory is open, and your shift has begun. The dolls are waiting for your inspection. If you’re looking for a horror game that prioritises atmosphere and psychological tension over cheap scares, Dollmare is ready for you on the Xbox Store right now.

Dollmare Description

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
