Mixing beat ’em up gameplay with all manner of other different styles, Doug Hates His Job brings an office-styled mockumentary experience to Xbox One.

Available to purchase and download on Xbox One, Doug Hates His Job follows the life of Doug, a salesman who just so happens to hate his job. You know, like many others out there. But whilst there is possibly no escaping your real-world regrets, in the video game world we can do something about it, and it is here where you’ll help Doug deal with those around him, punching, kicking, and using a multitude of gameplay genres to make the best of himself.

Priced at just £5.79, Doug Hates His Job initially comes across as a standard beat ’em up, but Super Villain Games drop a bit of variety in for good measure, delivering other adventure formats too – Choose your own adventure, Bar Trivia, On Rails Shooter, 3d Melee combat, Stealth (although maybe not quite of the quality of Splinter Cell), 2D Platformer, Top Down Car Racer – are all utilised at some point in Doug’s life.

Does this all work? Well, our full review will be able to let you in on the secrets concerning Doug and the job that he hates. We highly advise you give it a read before trying to deal with co-workers, clients and bosses.

If you are sold though and fancy helping Doug work through his life, the Xbox Store will sort you out.

Game Description:

Doug Hates his Job is a Beat-Em Up game with an office mockumentary style story about a sales agent who, as the title states, hates his job! Join Doug as he tries to deal with the typical every day office pet peeves. You get to decide how Doug responds to annoying coworkers, crazy clients, and a ruthless boss. Along the way, unlock new levels with several styles of gameplay.
