Turn-based? Check. Roguelike? Double check. Dungeon crawling? Triple check! DragonFangz – The Rose and Dungeon of Time certainly looks to have all the ingredients needed for a fun old time. And today it is Toydea who are found releasing the game on Xbox One.
Available to purchase and download right this very minute on Xbox One is DragonFangz – The Rose and Dungeon of Time. Accompanied by a £16.99 price tag, DragonFangz throws you into the world of Rose, a half human, half dragon, and her nanny, Fairy.
From there, expect to find yourself traversing through the dungeons of the Tree of Time in the hope that you can stumble upon enough treasure to in order to warrant a return to your village. It won’t be an easy task though – particularly when you consider the fact that more than 200 kids of monsters will try to take you down – and navigation through the depths will only be successful with courage, wisdom and growth. The thing is, should you fail at any one time, Rose will lose her items and see her level reset.
With turn-based mechanics holding this all together, mini-puzzles delivering some further enjoyment and a ‘Dungeon for Advanced Players’ ready for action, it’ll take a brave, understanding, gaming mind for the real draw of DragonFangz to come out. It’ll help should you manage to get your head around the use of both the ‘Fang’ and ‘Brave’ systems, both of which ensure that a bit of tactical variety is found in DragonFangz.
