It’s been 8 years since the release of How To Train Your Dragon, but in just a few short months we’ll be seeing the release of the next instalment in the Dragons franchise with DreamWorks Animation’s How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World. And as is the way of the world we live in, there will be a videogame arriving to coincide with the release!
Being delivered by Outright Games and Universal Games, and based on the Dragons franchise from DreamWorks will be DreamWorks Dragons Dawn of New Riders – and yes, it is a bit of a mouthful, but we’ll forgive them that.
Coming to Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC come February 2019, Dawn of New Riders will be developed by Climax Studios and distributed by the powerhouse that is Bandai Namco, around about the same time as the film hits the big screen.

In Dragons Dawn of New Riders you will get the opportunity to join up with a new heroic duo, Scribbler and Patch, as they head into an epic battle to save the dragons and defeat a new villain, Eir, who is forcing dragons to carry out her evil plans. They’ll clash against fierce enemies, they’ll get to explore new and familiar locations and they’ll most certainly be found interacting with fan favourite characters in this fun and fiery action adventure. And you’ll be with them for the ride.
