Turn-based roguelite in which every single run plays out differently. Yeah, we know what you’re all about, Dungeonloop.

Available now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Play Anywhere, Dungeonloop is the latest from TERNOX, teaming up with developer Chepurniy Yevgeniy.

At A Glance

  • Title: Dungeonloop
  • Publisher: TERNOX
  • Developer: Chepurniy Yevgeniy
  • Platforms: Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Play Anywhere
  • Price: ÂŁ4.19

A Familiar Dev With A Roguelite Twist

That latter name, the dev, may well be known to you, having previously pushed out games to Xbox prior. If you’ve played Boned Again: Survivors, Pancho’s Mission or Run & Jump Guy, you should be at home here.

Dungeonloop takes the tried and tested roguelike method and runs with it. Priced at ÂŁ4.19, it has you heading deep into the darkest depths, working through grid-based dungeons, battling unpredictable enemies, collecting powerful artefacts and hoping for the best.

Survive, Adapt, Repeat

The goal? Survive. Seeing as Dungeonloop delivers three different locales – each with its own vibe, encounters and boss – that survival may be more difficult than you expect. And with every run shaped by random encounters, no two attempts ever play out quite the same.

Helping you along the way are a variety of loadouts. Pulling things together, equipping whatever is at hand and adapting your strategy on the fly is very much the name of the game here.

Worth A Look?

As a small indie title, Dungeonloop could well suffice. Pick it up from the Xbox Store right now.

And if you are interested in how other Chepurniy Yevgeniy games play out, you can grab the Chepurniy Roguelikes Bundle for ÂŁ6.29, combining Dungeonloop with Boned Again: Survivors. Feeling flush? The ÂŁ9.59 Chepurniy Full Games Bundle throws Pancho’s Mission and Run & Jump Guy into the mix too.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
