Dunjungle
Dunjungle – out now!

If your idea of a good time involves jungle danger, unpredictable dungeons and a heroic monkey with nothing to lose, then Dunjungle is about to climb straight onto your must-play list.

Now available on Xbox Series X|S, PC, Handheld devices, Play Anywhere, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, this vibrant roguelite from Patapez Interactive throws you into an animal kingdom tearing itself apart under a mysterious corruption.

Your job? Explore, fight, learn and keep diving back in until you conquer the chaos.

With a price tag of £16.74, Dunjungle aims to deliver that classic one-more-run momentum mixed with explosive elemental combat and constantly shifting dungeon layouts.

A Jungle In Trouble

In Dunjungle, peaceful wildlife is twisting into threatening monstrosities thanks to a corrupting force spreading through the land. You step in as a plucky monkey adventurer, determined to unravel the mystery while collecting loot, mastering spells and keeping danger at arm’s reach.

Every run reshapes the world. Dunjungle’s levels are procedurally generated, but built from a huge pool of bespoke rooms filled with traps, treasures, puzzles and monster encounters. Temples, crypts and dense jungle corridors all offer different kinds of danger, including bosses that happily put an end to your run if you are not prepared.

Combat That Lets You Play Your Way

Variety is at the heart of Dunjungle’s combat. Weapons and spells can be enhanced with elemental effects:

  • Burn enemies with fire
  • Slow them with ice
  • Stun them with thunder
  • Blow crowds away using wind

Relics add further twists, ensuring every run feels like a fresh loadout experiment.

Unlockable Classes For Extra Strategy

As you progress, new classes open up with their own strengths, weaknesses and playstyles. Pick your favourite before each run and lean into speed, power, defence or trickery. These choices matter, especially with permadeath keeping you on your toes.

And Dunjungle does not believe in checkpoints. When you fall, the run is over. But that does not mean you lose everything. New weapons, spells and rescued characters remain unlocked, giving you permanent progress to build on. The game even encourages failure, as each death reveals more about its world and nudges you toward more confident future attempts.

You will also meet jungle residents who are trapped, lost or simply loitering. Freeing them might grant new perks or allies, making your next adventure a little easier.
