The Super Mega Baseball franchise has been a long-standing staple of the more arcadey side of sports gaming, with the three previous instalments always offering up some fast, frantic and fun home-run action whenever you may require it. And now, with EA Sports putting their name behind the series, the hopes are that Super Mega Baseball 4 will take things to the next level.
Following on from Super Mega Baseball 3, the latest entry in the series releases today in the form of Super Mega Baseball 4. It’s on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC platforms, with cross-play enabled, ensuring that no matter where you are, or what platform you are on, you can baseball with others.
The Power of EA Sports
With the publishing might that EA brings, Super Mega Baseball 4 has quite a major feather in its cap – licensing! Within the game exist over 200 cartoony interpretations of the best real-world baseballers ever to take to the field; we are talking Ozzie Smith, Vladimir Guerrero, and many more. And these characters are benefitting from the franchise’s biggest visual overhaul to date, both in the visual and audio department.
