Ahead of the full gameplay reveal later this week, EA has confirmed that College Football 27 will launch on July 9th, 2026 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.

College Football 27 promises to be an incredible year, one in which we’re able to start reflecting the modern era of college football more authentically and with more depth for our players than ever before,” said Evan Dexter, VP of Franchise Strategy and Marketing. “Our cover athletes – Kewan Lacy, Malachi Toney, and Dante Moore – represent that modern era by transcending programs and drawing in generations of college football fans, regardless of their school pride. We built the game for those fans and we can’t wait for them to see the full reveal of College Football 27 on June 4.

Standard Edition Led By Three Of College Football’s Brightest Stars

The Standard Edition cover focuses on three players who enjoyed breakout campaigns during the 2025-26 season.

Oregon quarterback Dante Moore, Miami wide receiver Malachi Toney and Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy share the spotlight, representing three of the most exciting offensive talents in college football today.

Each arrives with impressive credentials. Moore threw for more than 3,500 yards and 30 touchdowns while leading Oregon on a deep postseason run. Toney rewrote Miami’s record books with 109 receptions and more than 1,200 receiving yards, while Lacy powered Ole Miss with over 1,500 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns.

The trio also spoke of their excitement at appearing on the cover, with Moore describing it as a chance to continue Oregon’s recent EA SPORTS legacy after Coach Dan Lanning and The Duck appeared on last year’s Deluxe Edition.

“Being on the cover of EA SPORTS College Football 27 is an absolute privilege after growing up a fan of the game,” said Moore. “Coach Lanning and The Duck were on last year’s Deluxe Edition, and now to carry that legacy forward and represent Oregon myself makes me really proud.”

“Having this opportunity after only my freshman year means everything to me. I’m incredibly grateful for the support of the Miami community, and this honor of knowing EA believes in what I’m capable deepens my drive to show up for the program and the fans who have believed in me from day one,” said Toney.

“I would play this game for hours with my family growing up, so now being on the cover of EA SPORTS College Football 27 representing Ole Miss feels surreal,” said Lacy. “It’s truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”

Deluxe Edition Expands The Spotlight

The Deluxe Edition celebrates several of the biggest names and programmes in the college game.

Joining the artwork are Texas linebacker Colin Simmons, Notre Dame cornerback Leonard Moore, USC quarterback Jayden Maiava and Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti. The cover also features several mascots and iconic gameday elements that highlight the traditions and pageantry synonymous with college football.

Simmons arrives after a dominant defensive campaign that included 12 sacks and three forced fumbles, while Leonard Moore earned All-American honours for Notre Dame. Maiava enters the season as one of the most talked-about quarterbacks in the country, and Cignetti’s inclusion follows Indiana’s historic national championship success.

More Details Coming This Week

While the cover reveal is the headline announcement for now, EA won’t keep fans waiting long for more information. A full reveal for EA SPORTS College Football 27 is scheduled for June 4th, when the gameplay features will be shown off, along with new additions and improvements ahead of the July launch.

For now, though, the spotlight firmly belongs to the athletes and personalities chosen to represent one of gaming’s biggest sports franchises.
