That adds to the player and ICON announcements we’ve already seen in recent weeks, with EA continuing to build its case for FC 27 as an increasingly comprehensive celebration of the sport. In fact, it blows any competition out of the water.

Liga MX Makes Its Return
Perhaps the biggest addition is one that will be immediately familiar to long-time fans: Liga BBVA MX is coming back to EA FC 27.
All 18 clubs from Mexico’s top division will feature in the game as part of a fully licensed experience, bringing another important piece of world football into the fold.
It’s a particularly useful addition for anyone who felt that EA SPORTS FC’s representation of football had been missing one of the sport’s most passionate leagues. Liga MX joins an already extensive collection of competitions, including the Premier League, LALIGA EA SPORTS, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and the UEFA club competitions.
“EA SPORTS FC has become one of the most important platforms for football fans globally.” said Mikel Arriola, Liga MX Commissioner. “This partnership allows us to continue expanding the reach of Liga BBVA MX, connecting with new generations of fans and showcasing the passion, talent, and identity of Mexican football on a global stage.“
More Clubs And Stronger Partnerships
The licensing push doesn’t stop in Mexico.
S.S. Lazio is returning, meaning 17 Serie A Enilive clubs will now be officially licensed in FC 27. EA has also announced new and renewed marketing partnerships with Aston Villa and Liverpool FC, strengthening its ties with the Premier League.
“EA SPORTS FC is one of the most recognised and iconic brands in the sports gaming space and has been for many years,” said Francesco Calvo, President of Business Operations at Aston Villa. “We are delighted to be partnering with them to give our supporters a true and representative experience of playing as Aston Villa and are looking forward to exploring ways in which we can work to bring fans closer to the club that they love.“
The Bundesliga partnership has been extended too, continuing EA’s long-running relationship with German football and covering both the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2.
Elsewhere, partnerships with the ROSHN Saudi League and A-League have been renewed. The latter will also feature in EA Sports FC Mobile, with updated team sheets and kits arriving following the new A-League season in October.
New Stadiums Give FC 27 More Places to Play
It’s not just the teams that are getting attention.
FC 27 will add the iconic Stade Louis II, home of AS Monaco, alongside Estadio Carlos Tartiere from Real Oviedo and the Legia Warsaw Municipal Stadium.
EA is also rebuilding Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium and VfB Stuttgart’s MHPArena, while the stadiums of the three promoted Premier League clubs – Ipswich Town’s Portman Road, Hull City’s MKM Stadium and Coventry City’s CBS Arena – will be present at launch.
“With EA SPORTS FC 27, we’re building on years of bringing our community closer to football,” said James Salmon, Senior Director Partnership Marketing, EA SPORTS FC. “New and renewed partnerships bring more of the clubs, leagues, players and stadiums fans care about into FC 27, with the authenticity they expect from us. Together, they make The World’s Game feel even more connected to the football our community follows and loves.”
Building on FC 27’s Growing Roster
This latest announcement follows the recent EA Sports FC 27 player ratings reveal, which gave fans their first look at how some of the game’s biggest names stack up. We’ve also had the reveal of the new Class of ’27 ICONs, bringing legends such as Sergio AgĂĽero, Christine Sinclair and Pepe into the fold.
Now, EA is filling out the world around those players.
FC 27 will feature more than 21,000 players across 800+ clubs and national teams, 140 stadiums and more than 35 leagues, supported by over 300 football partners. That’s a sizeable amount of football to squeeze into one game, and the return of Liga MX is arguably one of the more meaningful additions for fans looking beyond Europe’s biggest competitions.
EA Sports FC 27 Release Date and Platforms
EA SPORTS FC 27 launches worldwide on September 25th, 2026, with Ultimate Edition and Ultimate Plus Edition owners getting early access from September 18th.
The game is coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
EA Play members will also get a 10-hour early access trial from September 18th, while EA Play Pro subscribers can access the EA Play Pro Edition from day one.
With the ratings and ICONs already revealed, this latest licensing announcement gives FC 27 another piece of its pre-launch picture. And with Liga MX back on the menu alongside a growing selection of clubs, competitions and stadiums, there’s certainly no shortage of football for EA to put on the pitch when kickoff rolls around.
