EA SPORTS FC is continuing to expand its global reach, and this latest move might just be one of its most meaningful yet.

A brand-new multi-year partnership with the Brazilian Football Confederation has been confirmed, promising to bring the spirit of Brazilian football back into the virtual game in a big way.

Announced during Gamescom Latam 2026, the agreement signals a deeper connection between EA and one of football’s most iconic nations, with new content planned across both EA SPORTS FC 26 and EA SPORTS FC Mobile.

At A Glance

  • Multi-year partnership between EA SPORTS FC and the Brazilian Football Confederation
  • Brazilian national team (Seleção) set to feature more prominently in-game
  • Content coming to EA SPORTS FC 26 and EA SPORTS FC Mobile

A Huge Win For Authenticity

Brazil and football are inseparable, and EA clearly knows it. Bringing the Seleção closer to the EA SPORTS FC ecosystem is more than just another licensing deal, it’s a cultural play that strengthens one of the franchise’s most important regions.

Jeff Sharma, VP Brand for EA SPORTS FC, emphasised just how significant this moment is: “Brazil is one of the most passionate and influential football communities in the world. Partnering with the CBF and bringing the Seleção back in game is truly a monumental moment for our players and for FC. This will allow us to deepen our commitment to players in Brazil and across the world, while continuing to deliver authentic experiences that reflect the unique culture, passion, and talent of Brazilian football.

This isn’t just about kits and badges either. The partnership opens the door for deeper storytelling, new in-game experiences, and a stronger representation of Brazil’s football identity across multiple modes.

More Than Just Licensing

The agreement between EA and the CBF goes beyond simple branding. It includes joint marketing initiatives and collaborative content creation, meaning players can expect ongoing updates that evolve over time.

Samir Xaud, president of the CBF, highlighted the wider ambition behind the deal: “This partnership with EA SPORTS represents an important step in expanding how fans connect with Brazilian football. Together, we will create new ways to celebrate our National Team, our players, and our legacy with millions of fans around the world.

In short, this is about building a bridge between real-world football culture and the digital pitch, something EA SPORTS FC has been pushing hard since stepping away from the FIFA branding.

Strengthening A Global Football Platform

EA SPORTS FC is already a heavyweight when it comes to licensed football content, boasting over 20,000 players, 750+ clubs and national teams, more than 120 stadiums, and 35 leagues. Adding the CBF to that roster only reinforces its position at the top of the football gaming ladder.

This new partnership also builds on existing Brazilian ties, including collaborations with clubs like Esporte Clube Bahia and Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas, further embedding Brazil into the fabric of the series.

It also builds on what is already a hugely solid foundation. In our review of EA SPORTS FC 26, we scored it a strong 4.5/5, noting how “new and subtle changes to Ultimate Team and Clubs” and the introduction of Authentic mode gave Career a fresh sense of purpose.

While not without its frustrations, we concluded that “there is nothing else that can beat it… no competition that can deliver such a well crafted experience of football.

What Comes Next?

While the headline news is the partnership itself, EA has confirmed that more details on how Brazilian football will feature in-game are still to come. That likely means fresh modes, themed content drops, and possibly new ways to experience the Seleção in both console and mobile versions.

For now, though, one thing is clear: EA SPORTS FC is doubling down on authenticity, and Brazil is right at the heart of that strategy.
