Konami have now announced eFootball x Captain Tsubasa Collaboration Volume 2.
Following on from 2024’s first installment, this latest update includes brand new log in bonuses like special edition cards illustrated by “Captain Tsubasa” creator Yoichi Takahashi, including Neymar Jr. and Lionel Messi.
Also available are Epic cross-over cards between “Captain Tsubasa” characters and legendary real-life players celebrated for their attacking brilliance.

- Eric Cantona x Louis Napoleon
- Diego Forlán x Ramon Victorino
Further is the arrival of the eFootball Championship 2025 in-game qualifier.
The ‘Open’is the qualifying round for the eFootball Championship 2025, which saw nearly 40 million people participate in last year. Running as an official e-sports tournament that all players can participate in, if you prove yourself good enough, winning through the ‘Open’, you’ll get the chance to compete for the title of world champion at the eFootball™ Championship 2025 World Finals, currently scheduled to be held in the summer of 2025.
Round 1 will be happening as part of the Challenge Event during Jan 30th – Feb 6th.
Log in during the celebratory in-game campaign and you’ll receive an Item Selector, which can be exchanged for three in-game training programs. By joining PVP and Challenge events, players can unlock up to 40,000GP, two Skill Training programs, one Random Booster Token, and two Position Training items.
During Round 1, players can also earn rewards up to a maximum of 100 eFootball coins, 1,000 eFootball points, and 100,000GP based on the number of points they win.

Konami is today bringing the iconic world of Captain Tsubasa to eFootball, in an exciting new collaboration.
This crossover event promises a nostalgic blast from the past, allowing players to experience the thrill of controlling their favourite characters from the beloved anime series within the eFootball universe.
A Fusion of Football and Anime
The Captain Tsubasa collaboration introduces a variety of special events and rewards to eFootball:
- Special Cards: Acquire unique player cards featuring illustrations by Yoichi Takahashi, the creator of Captain Tsubasa. These cards showcase eFootball ambassadors Lionel Messi and Takefusa Kubo in Captain Tsubasa-inspired uniforms, as well as crossover cards with characters like Hikaru Matsuyama and Ryo Ishizaki paired with real-life players like Joshua Kimmich and Dayot Upamecano.
- Time Attack Event: Control iconic Captain Tsubasa characters, such as Tsubasa Ozora and Taro Misaki, in a race against time to score goals and collect pieces of exclusive artwork.
- Daily Bonus: Participate in daily penalty shootout challenges with Captain Tsubasa characters and earn valuable rewards.
