With the new month fast approaching, Xbox Game Pass members are on tenterhooks to find out what additions are heading into the ever-expanding library in May 2019. Well, the wait is now over as a whopping eight titles have been announced for next month and there are some absolutely stellar games amongst the pack.

The Xbox Game Pass scheme saw a varied bunch turn up in April, ranging from big hitters like Monster Hunter: World and Prey to The Golf Club 2 and another episode of Life is Strange 2. Where May differs slightly is that there’ll be more games incoming in total as well as a brand new one that’s launching straight into the library. For the King doesn’t release until 10th May, however Xbox Game Pass subscribers get access to it three days earlier, which is a real bonus for those intrigued enough to give the perilous adventure a go. It’s a roguelike strategic RPG that sees you attempt to uncover the mystery surrounding the King’s death and try to bring order back to the realms.

Other notable additions include the adrenaline-fuelled antics of B.J. Blazkowicz in the brilliant Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and the Caped Crusader doing what he does best in arguably one of the greatest LEGO games to date, LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. Here’s a list of what’s going to be available in May 2019 via Xbox Game Pass, with exact dates specified below too:

There’s also word of a ninth game in the form of Descenders leaving Xbox Game Preview on 7th May, so that’s another to look forward to. What do you think of the upcoming additions to Xbox Game Pass in May 2019? Which of the games that have been announced, if any, are you looking forward to the most? Are there any that leave you underwhelmed at the prospect of them joining the scheme? Been gaming casually since the SNES as a youngster but found my true passion for games on the Playstation 1 (the forbidden word ooo). My addiction grew to its pinnacle with the purchase of an Xbox 360 & Xbox Live Service. A recovering GS hunter that will still play literally any game.
